There's a certain magic to the near-complete solitude I felt when shooting this on the edge of the Salton Sea in California. To be the only one in an abandoned town in the early hours of the morning with your back to the town, you feel both amazingly alone, and also watched, by invisible eyes. Eyes that may have been there, and also eyes of those who once lived there, passed through or existed until their days ended in Bombay Beach.
